OSCAP APLLICATIONS
OSCAP Membership/Loyalty Cards
The OSCAP card contains 2 bar
codes and an OSCAP magnetic strip readable at the retail outlets. The barcodes
and the magnetic strip contain the OSCAP account number. When a retailer issues a card, he
uses the OSCAP account and submits to MoneyPins-OSCAP the application data and
the retail account used. When a retailer
scans the OSCAP card, they can either use the OSCAP account directly or their
internal account number with a combination of a conversion table.
The consumers can add multiple retailers’
accounts to their card and MoneyPins-OSCAP system will transfer the membership
data to the retailers system. Any
consumers update of membership data will be transferred to the retailers in a
Moneypins framework encrypted XML/SFF/Delimited file or optionally using PKCS#7.
Electronic Gift Cards
The consumer can use his OSCAP
card to purchase gift amounts from selected retailers. When a consumer performs a purchase,
the merchant inserts the OSCAP card and the consumer can optionally supply an
LTCK (limited time pin).
OSCAP Credit/Debit Cards
Two magnetic
strips in the front of the card can be used for additional two conventional
debit/credit accounts. Each linked additional OSCAP card can contain 4
conventional accounts. Currently banking EMV smartcards are not supported.
Credit Card or Bank Checks Transactions using Mirrored
Conventional Accounts
An account holder provides a merchant or a financial organization with an OSCAP
account number, the amount to authorize and a MoneyPins framework LTCK. The
OSCAP account number has its mirrored real account number stored at the card
processing service and real account information is not revealed to the public.
